Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll in 522 Cities Surpasses 233,600


Rapid spread of the British variant in Khuzestan, Hormozgan, South Khorasan, Kurdistan, and other provinces

  • Directors of universities of Medical Sciences: Medical facilities have a specific capacity, and in case of a sharp increase in patients in different areas, they cannot withstand excessive load. The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Thursday, March 18, 2021, that the Coronavirus death toll in 522 cities had exceeded 233,600. The number of victims in Tehran is 54,536, Khorasan Razavi 15,260, Isfahan 15,170, Khuzestan 13,159, Mazandaran 9,965, Lorestan 9,823, East Azerbaijan 9,128, Gilan 8,251, Fars 6,892, Alborz 5,793, Central Province 4,808, Ardabil 2,877, Qazvin 2,644, and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad 1,774.
