Execution of 7 Prisoners on Wednesday, Including One Woman; Public Execution of a Prisoner in Hamedan
461 Executions, Including 15 Women, During Pezeshkian’s Tenure — a 75% Increase Compared to Raisi’s Last Year
In fear of the people’s growing anger and to suppress the popular uprising, Ali Khamenei’s machinery of execution, torture, and killing does not stop for a moment. Today, Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at least 7 prisoners, including one woman, were hanged in Qezelhessar Prison.
On Tuesday, November 12, two prisoners were hanged in Hamedan, with one of the victims brutally and cruelly executed in public.
On Monday, November 11, Hamzeh Jahanian and Javad Doolabi were executed in Karaj Central Prison, and on Sunday, November 10, a female prisoner named Mahrokh Khani, aged 35, along with Kazem Babaei in Tabriz, Saman Karimi, aged 25, in Yasuj, Mohammad Nabi Papalzahi, aged 28, in Zahedan, and Hamid Soltanabadi in Qazvin were all executed.
On Saturday, November 9, Jafar Farahani, aged 36, was hanged in Neyshabur, and on Thursday, November 7, Sadeq Khorshidi, aged 32, Mohammad Majid Jamali, and a female prisoner in Lakan Prison in Rasht, and Ali Ahmadzadeh in Gorgan Prison were all executed. On Wednesday, November 6, in addition to the executions announced in the previous statement, Hossein Heydari in Shiraz, Iraj Shabdeez in Gorgan, Mojtaba Ghasemi, and another prisoner in Qezelhessar Prison were hanged.
The greatest “legacy” of Massoud Pezeshkian for the people of Iran is the rising tide of executions. Since August, when Pezeshkian assumed office, the documented number of executions has reached 461 — an unprecedented figure in recent years and a 75% increase compared to the same period in 2023 under Raisi.
