Iran: Baluchis attacked in Shirabad region (Zahedan), their homes demolished
SSF opens fire, wounds defiant residents
At dawn on Monday, December 20, 2021, the State Security Force (SSF), along with municipal and the Housing and Urban Development Organization agents, demolished a number of homes of Baluch compatriots in the Shirabad area of Zahedan. The deprived residents and the youth resisted the actions.
The SSF fired tear gas into the people’s homes and opened fire at the defenseless residents, wounding several of them. It then destroyed the houses at the end of Pirbakhsh street using several loaders.
The demolition of the homes of deprived people especially in the cold season and despite the Coronavirus pandemic reflects the unbridled cruelty of the ruling criminal regime, which is only thinking about maintaining its grip on power. Instead of providing the people with the minimum means of livelihood, the regime plunders the people’s properties and even destroys houses built with basic equipment and through great suffering.
