At a major summit of Iranians, Mrs. Rajavi commented on Pezeshkian: When asked about his policies, he said “Khamenei sets all plans and policies, and straying from them is my redline.”

Khamenei is the strategic loser of this electoral charade. Raisi’s death has confirmed a new equilibrium and a fresh chapter under velayat-e faqih’s rule, recalling the final phase of the Shah’s regime. The system is riddled from within, and the wolves are tearing each other apart.

The Iranian Resistance views Ali Khamenei as the strategic loser of this electoral facade, which was boycotted by 91% of Iranians. Ebrahim Raisi’s death and the dashing of Khamenei’s dreams to purify the regime have confirmed a new equilibrium and a fresh chapter under the rule of Velayat-e Faqih. This reflects Khamenei’s impasse and recalls the final phase of the Shah’s regime. The effects of the crushing blow to the decrepit and feeble Supreme Leader have shaken the pillars of the regime; the system’s foundations have become riddled from within, and the wolves are tearing each other apart.

Previously, the Iranian Resistance had declared that it would welcome it if Khamenei, even through millions of fraudulent votes, were to allow Pezeshkian to assume the presidency. This rift and crack pave the way for an uprising and break the bonds that hold the regime together.

Addressing the major summit of Iranians after the first round of the sham election, Mrs. Rajavi said that when Pezeshkian was asked about his agenda, he admitted that Khamenei is the one who sets all plans and policies and that straying from them was his red line.

The Iranian Resistance emphasizes that if there is no deception and major fraud in play, and the buried saga of reforms in the regime has been revived, and If Pezeshkian does not exhibit pure loyalty to velayat-e faqih, contrary to his own words, today Khamenei’s new president can be tested with a few clear and specific actions, as articulated in Mrs. Maryam Rajavi’s 10-point Plan:

  1. Announce the cancellation of mandatory hijab and disband all patrols that suppress women.
  2. Release all political prisoners and open prisons to international fact-finding missions.
  3. Abolish the death penalty and all forms of inhuman punishments, such as torture, flogging, limb amputation, and eye-gouging.
  4. Remove internet restrictions and censorship.
  5. Clear universities of the Velayat-e Faqih representatives and the Basij, IRGC, and Intelligence Ministry operatives.
  6. Disband the regime’s so-called revolutionary courts.
  7. Secure the rights of workers, laborers, employees, educators, and retirees with their own input.
  8. Decrease the prices of essential goods and public services, bread, electricity, gas, gasoline, medicine, and housing.
  9. Dissolve the Guardian Council.
  10. Renew parliamentary elections without requiring adherence to the velayat-e faqih, emphasizing free speech and assembly.

25 years ago, on April 14, 1999, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) proclaimed: ‘The litmus test to distinguish fake reformists from genuine ones is to impose free elections based on popular sovereignty. Hence, Mohammad Khatami or anyone claiming reform must place rejecting Velayat-e Faqih and insisting on free elections on top of their agenda.”
