The Disgraceful Defeat of the Mullahs’ Intelligence Agents in Paris

Mohammad Hossein Sobhani and two other agents of the Iranian regime are arrested on the charges of knife-wielding and injuring Iranian dissidents in Paris

NCRI – On Sunday, after a number of political refugees and Iranian dissidents were wounded by a group of the mullahs’ Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) agents and embassy officials in Paris, Mohammad Hossein Sobhani and two other MOIS operatives were detained and subjected to prosecution by the French Police. In addition to these three, who remain in Police custody, a number of other MOIS operatives are sought by the French authorities. Those Iranian dissidents who were injured in the violent attacks have filed legal complaints against the assailants.

After an embarrassing 24-hour silence about its defeat, the MOIS, through its websites abroad, resorted to a foolish misinformation campaign, accusing 50 members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) of attacking and injuring the MOIS agents. In yet another blatant lie, the mullahs claimed that a number of the PMOI were arrested by the Police. The MOIS knows perfectly well that it is its own agents who are in Police custody in France and are still being questioned, while a number of other operatives are sought after by the Police.

The agents were sent to France from various European countries, in a mission to plot against Iranian dissidents and political refugees, under the guise of supporting Iranian refugees and immigrants at a meeting in Paris’s Fiap building. However, when a number of Iranian dissidents attended the building before the meeting took place, the MOIS operatives, using knives, tear gas and knuckle-dusters, violently executed their pre-planned attacks and wounded the dissidents. The assailants were led by Jahangir Shadanlou, who is a well-known MOIS agent residing in France.

Those involved in the attack included Mohammad Hossein Sobhani, Hadi Shams Haeri, Masoud Khodabandeh and his wife, Anne Singleton, Javad Firouzmand, Mehdi Khoshhal, Ali Qashqavi, Bahman Rastgou, and Alain chevalerias, along with two Iranian embassy associates.

Upon learning of the brutality and violent attacks of the MOIS operatives, the Police arrived at the scene, and after confiscating the agents’ assault instruments, and identifying the assailants, cancelled the meeting and arrested Mohammad Hossein Sobhani and two embassy agents.

Since the mullahs’ agents have no other mission but to gather intelligence for their terrorist activities, the Iranian Resistance calls for the prosecution and punishment of the mullahs’ intelligence agents. The Resistance also deems it essential that the regime’s agents be prevented from entering French territory to carry out their deeds. The Iranian Resistance urges the French Police and responsible authorities to release their findings regarding the arrested operatives, in order to expose their sinister plans to the public, and to raise awareness about the regime’s plots against Iranian refugees and dissidents.
