The need for the IAEA’s full inspection and unrestricted access to all sites and nuclear facilities of the regime
The Iranian Resistance reiterates that as it has shown in the past, the mullahs, have never given up their pursuit of a nuclear bomb and weapons of mass destruction. The international community, and in particular the IAEA, must, therefore, insist on the immediate and unconditional inspection of all suspect sites to prevent regime’s deception. A thorough inspection of all sites and nuclear facilities of the regime without any restrictions is critically imperative and the basis for verifying the truth about the possible military dimensions (PMD) of the regime’s nuclear weapons development and to prevent concealment and deception of the largest state sponsor of terrorism in the world today.
According to Entekhab daily, yesterday, Behrouz Kamalvandi, a spokesman for the regime’s Atomic Energy Organization, “stressed that from the beginning, Iran has not opposed access to its nuclear facilities, but believes that the IAEA’s questions should be based on serious evidence. He also clarified that questions based on espionage allegations were not and will not be acceptable at all and that providing access to the agency is predicated on questions and ambiguities being resolved once and for all.”
Kamalvandi’s statement clearly indicates the regime’s intention to prevent access to its facilities and to buy time to prevent the IAEA from releasing a new negative report. The Iranian regime is also trying to put behind Mr. Grossi’s trip by making excuses to buy time. Only a decisive approach can force the clerical regime to respond and fail in its maneuver to waste time.
