Incentives to Iran regime make mullahs more determined to acquire A-bomb

Incentives to Iran regime make mullahs more determined to acquire A-bombNCRI – The Iranian Resistance considers the incentives offered to the clerical regime by five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council and Germany as a clear retreat from February 4, 2006 resolution by the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency and the March 29, 2006 Presidential Statement of the UN’s Security Council. Those documents had emphasized the need for a full and sustained suspension of all enrichment and Reprocessing activities. The package only asks for temporary suspension “during the negotiations.”

Mr. Mohammad Mohaddessin, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, reiterated, “That the package of incentives has taken a distance from comprehensive sanctions should the mullahs’ regime not fulfill its obligation to cooperate with the international community, would give the regime the assurance that the world lacks the resolve to stand up to its nuclear weapon program.”

These incentives also offer assurances of "political sovereignty" to an illegitimate and bloodthirsty theocracy that has executed 120,000 political prisoners and its terror squads have assassinated hundreds of Iranian dissidents and foreign nationals, including the citizens of these six countries in Middle Eastern, European and even African capitals.

Mr. Mohammad Mohaddessin added, “The mullahs’ sinister regime needs nuclear weapons as a lever to preserve its survival.  These incentives and negotiations only provide the necessary time needed to complete its secret nuclear weapons program. Appeasement of and negotiations with the religious fascism ruling Iran has contributed greatly to the regime’s efforts to acquire nuclear technology. This has taken the region and the world a step closer to a catastrophe, whose victims would not only be the Iranian people but also all nations in the region and peace and tranquility in the world."

"The only effective policy vis-à-vis the mullahs’ nuclear threat is a firm policy including comprehensive sanctions and the recognition of the Iranian people’s demands for a democratic change,” he noted.
