Various Iraqi officials visit Iran – Tehran’s desperate attempt to cover up crime against humanity

Camp Ashraf military Occupation –No. 72

NCRI – Following increasing international condemnations regarding the April 8th massacre in Ashraf, the Iranian regime resorted to a desperate measure by hastily summoning a number of Iraqi officials to Tehran aiming to cover up this massacre by gaining their cooperation or agreement to remain silent. Through this attempt Khamenei, the Iranian regime’s Supreme Leader is seeking to maintain his puppet prime minister in Iraq along with his own shaky sovereignty.

The Iranian regime’s media reported Ali Larijani, Speaker of Majlis (mullahs’ parliament), Saeed Jalili, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council and Foreign Minister Salehi had separate meetings with Ahmad Chalabi, Iraqi Vice President Adel Abdul Mehdi (who has recently resigned) and former Prime Minister Ibrahim Ja’fari. However, the main meeting of these three figures – all members of Maliki’s National Alliance – was with Qassem Suleimani, commander of the terrorist Quds Force and other members of this force. The subjects of these meetings were Maliki’s attack on Ashraf and the internal, regional and international aftermaths, and to discuss new plots and conspiracies.

Chalabi is the same agent who revealed Tehran’s plan to seize one third of Ashraf’s land and supported “the Iraqi government’s measures to bring an end to the presence of the Mojahedin in Iraq”.He was described by General David Petraeus, General Raymond Odierno and former US Ambassador to Iraq Christopher Hill in January 2010 as a Qods Force instrument linked to the Iranian regime. The Jordanian judicial system has sentenced him to 22-year prison term charged with $300 million embezzlement.

Moreover, it is scheduled for a number of Iraqi ministers to travel to Iran to receive their orders and directions and collect their paychecks for their services. Hassan Shemeri, Maliki’s so-called Justice Minister will be traveling to Iran in the upcoming week. He, who is a member of Maliki’s Dawa Party and as revealed in the number 46 statement of the NCRI’s Secretariat on April 12th, while defending the April 8th atrocities in the April 11th session of Iraq’s Ministers Council, called for the massacre of all Ashraf residents.

Also, according to a report from the state-run ILNA News Agency, Ahmad Vahidi, Iranian regime’s Minister of Defense “will travel to Baghdad as head of a delegation of high-ranking defense and military officials upon the invitation of his Iraqi counterpart”. Iraq’s Ministry of Defense is run by Maliki himself.
