Maryam Rajavi calls for concrete steps by Ottawa as fresh evidence of Zahra Kazemi's murder surfaces

ImageMrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, called on the international community and the Canadian government to take practical steps against the mullahs' regime for the gruesome murder of Canadian journalist Zahra Kazemi. Her statement came after a press conference Friday by Canadian Foreign Minister Pierre Pettigrew, in which he talked about new revelations of the torture and rape of Kazemi while she was being held in Tehran's notorious Evin Prison.

UNHCR: Camp Ashraf residents are "asylum seekers" and must "benefit from basic protection of their security and well-being"

Maryam Rajavi: UN monitoring teams must be stationed in Ashraf to secure protection and rights specified in the UNHCR statement

NCRI - The United Nations' High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) declared in a statement that the residents of Camp Ashraf are "formally asylum seekers" and called on the Government of Iraq (GoI) to extend "the deadline for the closure of the Camp."
