Iran political prisoner speaks out against pressures on PMOI in Camp Liberty

NCRI – Iranian political prisoner Hassan Sadeqi has written an open letter from inside Iran’s notorious Gohardasht (Rajai-Shahr) Prison exposing the recent activities of the agents of the Iranian regime’s Intelligence Ministry against members of Iran’s main opposition group, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI or MEK), in Camp Liberty, Iraq.

In recent days the Iranian regime’s intelligence (MOIS) agents, posing as relatives of PMOI members, have gone to the gates of Camp Liberty, psychologically torturing the camp residents.

The following is the text of Hassan Sadeqi’s May 23 open letter which has been smuggled out of Gohardasht Prison in Karaj, north-west of Tehran:

Hassan Sadeqi condemns the gathering by the Iranian regime’s Intelligence Ministry agents outside Camp Liberty

Today when I woke up I saw a news that the regime’s television was constantly broadcasting in the subtitles that a number of relatives of the PMOI have gathered outside Camp Liberty and are demanding the freedom of their loved ones. I, Hassan Sadeqi, condemn this despicable action by the Intelligence Ministry and tell those who have falsely claimed to be the families of the PMOI that if you have even the slightest honesty in your actions, why don’t you instead come here to seek my freedom. My property has been confiscated and I have received a prison sentence of 15 years along with my wife and my young children have been sent onto the streets and I’m even denied the right to make a phone call. Are you deliberately pretending to be morons? Do you really take the people of Iran as fools who would fall for your treacherous act and believe you to be the real relatives of the PMOI?
