The Confirmation of Ebrahim Raisi’s Cabinet Has Turned into a Fiasco

iran-parliament-raisi-cabinet-confirmation

The staged confirmation hearing in the regime’s parliament and the rushed process of getting approval for Ebrahim Raisi’s ministers has become another political embarrassment for the entire regime.

Mousa Ghazanfarabadi: “It is becoming a routine that members of the parliament are welcoming the proposed ministers. This is against the dignity of the parliament, and it comes to mind that local and regional support is superseding the accuracy as well as reason and correctness of decision making of the parliamentarians.”

Ebrahim Rezaei: “Unfortunately, in the past few days, people came here and spoke on behalf of the opponents who were not opposing the proposed ministers! Sometimes they just expressed their approval and praised or analyzed and raised questions. This is against the law and it creates doubts.”

Salimi: “Outside this room, I saw some people starting to discuss some contradictory issues like everything is decided by the Supreme Leader, which should be noted that in some cases, especially when it comes to the ministers, he only steps in if he’s against someone. But the most important factor in this process is the introduction by the president and their own accountability”.

Mahmoud Ahmadi Beighsh: “Why should the esteemed speaker of the parliament convene meetings and call people and dictate who should receive votes and who shouldn’t? Handpicking people and dictating how many ministers should be rejected and how many shouldn’t… I’m not okay with that.”

Ahmad Amirabadi: “The fact that one of our friends comes here to say that the head of a branch is planning to have two, three, or four ministers rejected… Mr. Speaker, this is a creating discrepancy between the two branches, and this is not right. Sowing discord between the two branches will only hurt the people. I’m asking you, Mr. Ahmadi Beighesh, to consider national security matters while conducting in your speeches.”

State Media Tries to Whitewash Khamenei’s Crime

Ali Khamenei bans the import of coronavirus vaccine to Iran

The Supreme Leader Khamenei’s decision to ban all WHO-approved vaccines from the US and UK is now costing thousands of Iranian lives every day. As the nation is expressing its hatred at the leadership of this regime, state media are trying to divert the anger and blame others.

Kayhan daily, a newspaper at Khamenei’s disposal wrote today: “The hostile media and Iran’s enemies, who do not miss any opportunity for malice, are specifically attacking the Supreme Leader with distortions and lies, claiming that he opposed and prevented the import of the vaccines.”

Acknowledging the catastrophic spread of the coronavirus and the death toll, the state-run Farhikhtegan newspaper wrote: “As usual, the enemies of the revolution are producing fake news that is based on false allegations. During the recent weeks, they have been trying to conduct a mental war and provoke public opinion in order to blame the failures of the health system on the leader of the revolution.”

During the four decades of the mullahs’ rule in Iran, the livelihood basket of workers has declined because of the regime’s policies, the increase in costs, and the gap between their income and living expenses. According to official statistics at the end of 2020, the rate of the workers’ livelihood basket has been announced to be nearly 7 million tomans. But this statistic is far from the reality of the workers’ daily life and does not match it. Because at present the official wage of a worker in Iran is around 2.8 million tomans and the poverty line has reached 10 million tomans.
