Hello everyone and to all my compatriots, Happy Nowruz. We are back today on Wednesday the 188th day of the nationwide uprising. The Iranian opposition coalition NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi welcomed the Iranian calendar new year, Nowruz, with a renewed vow of continued protests inside the country and intensifying the Iranian Resistance’s anti-regime campaign both inside Iran and across the globe.

During the past few days, Iranian people welcomed Nowruz, where people in numerous districts of Tehran and cities across the country chanted anti-regime slogans by taking to the streets or from their rooftops. People in Tehran’s districts, including SadeghiyehSa’adatabad, MarzdaranEkbatanPunak, Shahrak-e Gharb, ZafarShahr-e ZibaDarbandSeyed KhandanTehranparsShariati Street, and the cities of KarajMashhadBorujerdSanandaj, Saqqez, MahabadShirazRashtIzehKermanshah, and others were seen chanting slogans against the mullahs’ regime and launching demonstrations in the streets.

The slogans included:
“Death to Khamenei!”
“Death to the dictator!”
“Khamenei, you murderer! We will bury you!”
“Death to Khamenei, the murderer!”
“We swear on the blood of our compatriots that we stand to the end!”
“Mullahs must get lost!”
“Silence is a disgrace! Freedom is our culture!”
“Poverty-Corruption-High prices! We’re going to overthrow the regime!”
“We won’t have a nation as long as the mullahs are in power!”
“This is the year Seyed Ali (Khamenei) is overthrown!”

In Shush, southwest Iran, retirees and pensioners of the regime’s Social Security Organization rallied outside the city’s governor’s office protesting high prices, inflation, low pensions, and other economic woes.

In Rask, southeast Iran, reports indicate that locals are having trouble procuring cooking/heating gas due to the regime’s corruption and incompetence. It is worth noting that Iran possesses the world’s second-largest natural gas reserves.

And finally, according to the Reuters news agency, the regime security forces attacked women and children who were celebrating Nowruz in the streets of Mahabad city. More than 30 people were injured, most of them women and children.

The Scorched-earth Tactics of Iran’s Cyber Army

IN THE EARLY hours of January 5, a popular anonymous Iranian dissident account called Jupiter announced on Twitter that his friends had killed Abolqasem Salavati, a maligned magistrate nicknamed the “Judge of Death.” The tweet went viral, and thousands of jubilant people poured into the account’s Twitter Space to thank them for assassinating the man responsible for sentencing hundreds of political prisoners to die.

Soon, however, a few attendees voiced doubts over the veracity of the claim. They were cursed at and kicked out of the room, as the host insisted, “Tonight is about celebration!” while repeatedly encouraging viewers to make the Space go viral. The next day, activists on the ground and Iranian media confirmed that Salavati was, in fact, alive. Several experts suspect Jupiter to have been an Islamic Republic of Iran cyber operation aimed at distracting people, while the Iranian government executed two protesters the same night as the Twitter Space.
