Iranian Regime’s Shipping is Crippled, State-run Website Reports

State-run Eghtesad Online wrote on October 19: “Iranian ships are no longer accepted in any major port in the world and no foreign ships are willing to dock in Iranian ports either.”

Malek Reza Malekpour, a board member of the Maritime Development Association said: “None of China’s major ports allow Iranian ships to dock there. Now, India’s most important container port is closed to Iranian ships too. The decision came weeks after Indian authorities seized nearly three tonnes of heroin worth 200 billion rupees from two containers in the port of Mundra.”

According to the source, following Afghanistan’s takeover by the Taliban, Iran has lost its importance to China and India.

Clashes Erupt Following An Execution in South Iran

At dawn on Tuesday, October 19, two brothers from Ramhormoz, Ali Mohammad (45) and Eslam Mohammadi (38) were executed in Sepidar Prison in Ahvaz, the capital of Khuzestan Province. Following the execution of the two brothers, their mother suffered a stroke and passed away after being transferred to the hospital.

Accordingly, angry locals clashed with security forces. The fighting lead to 5 injured and dozens of people being arrested. The situation in the city of Ramhormoz is extremely tense and the regime has cut off the Internet.


IRGC-affiliated Financial Institution Harasses Protestors in Tehran

Today, depositors of the Caspian Institute rallied in Saadatabad, Tehran, protesting the Judiciary’s refusal to address their complaints. The fraudulent Caspian Institution belongs to the Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) and has scammed its clients by looting their deposits since 2016. Despite years’ long protests in numerous cities and provinces, the Judiciary has failed to establish a court to address the problem.

On Tuesday, officials at the state-affiliated building where the protestors were gathering, turned off power to disperse the demonstrators, while insulting and disrespecting them and not even allowing people to enter the property.

Iranians Don’t Trust Domestic Vaccines, Official Admits

In a televised interview, the president of Medical Sciences At Tehran University admitted that people have no confidence in domestic vaccines and are not willing to inject them. He also acknowledged that conflict of interest between the regime’s factions that own drug factories has led to injecting unauthorized vaccines without the approval of responsible institutions.


Sixth Covid-19 Wave Reported in Southwestern Iran

President of Medical Sciences at Yasouj University told the official IRNA news agency on October 19 that the sixth wave of the coronavirus has begun in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province. Parviz Yazdanpanah said: “A surge in contracting cases in the counties of Kohgiluyeh, Boyer-Ahmad, Dena, and Cheram is indicating a sixth wave. People should avoid gatherings and those who have not been vaccinated should go for vaccination as soon as possible.”

The Call for Justice Continues to Echo from Stockholm to Tehran

This morning, the trial of Hamid Noury, one of the perpetrators of the massacre of political prisoners in 1988 continued with its 32nd session. The Stockholm court hearing today was dedicated to the testimony of Bijan Zolfaghari, one of the plaintiffs and witnesses of the massacre. In his remarks, Bijan Zolfaghari recounted some of the crimes of Hamid Noury and his accomplices. In Stockholm, Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization continued to demonstrate their resolve and called for senior Iranian regime officials to face justice.

US Senators Ask IAEA Chief for Decisive Action Against Tehran

In a meeting on Tuesday with members of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee in Washington, Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency discussed the Iranian regime’s nuclear program. During the meeting, US senators supported the IAEA’s actions and called for the UN watchdog to take a firm stand against the Iranian regime’s nuclear program.

“Iran continues to develop its nuclear program, violating its international obligations and is obstructing the IAEA monitoring. Iran’s failure to provide credible answers to the International Atomic Energy Agency’s questions about its undeclared nuclear sites is unacceptable,” Republican Sen. Jim Rish, a senior member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee said in a statement after meeting with Grossi.

Senator Jim Risch went on to stress the importance of taking decisive action before the November meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors and paving the way to refer Iran’s nuclear dossier to the UN Security Council. He urged Rafael Grossi that until Iran provides all the necessary information, the Agency should continue to put pressure on the regime.

In Tehran, the number of victims has reached 107,756, Khorasan Razavi 37,750, Isfahan 31,240, Khuzestan 28,215, West Azerbaijan 16,858, Fars 16,705, Lorestan 15,300, Sistan and Baluchestan 12,950, Qom 12,605, Kerman 12,282, Hamedan 8,608, Central Province 8,418, Kermanshah 8,389, North Khorasan 5,874, Ilam 4,393, and South Khorasan 3,971.

Iranian security forces have threatened the mothers and families of men and women who were shot and killed during nationwide protests in November 2019. In a tweet, the mother of slain protester Pouya Bakhtiyari wrote that her home was raided and her personal belongings including her smartphone were confiscated. “They thought by raiding my home and taking my mobile and personal belongings they could silence my call for justice, but they were wrong,” she wrote in a tweet on October 17.
