Iran Protests – 7,8,9,10,11 November

NCRI – November 11: Workers at the Zagros milk and meat factory in Saman blocked the main road to the city of Shahr-e Kord in protest at months of unpaid wages. Another 100 workers at local production factories demonstrated outside the city’s municipal building in anger at being made jobless a year ago with six months of unpaid wages and unemployment insurance. More than 20 were arrested during clashed with security forces and taken by minibuses to an unknown location.

November 10: Workers at the Esputa food factory in Orumiyeh gathered outside the plant to protest at nine months of unpaid wages.

November 9: People in the city of Nosoud protested at the killing of a 20-year-old man by security forces, who sealed of large area of the city to prevent the demonstration from spreading.

More than 200 workers of Absardeh Dam in the city of Boroujerd also protested outside the municipality building to demand two months of unpaid wages and their right to return to work after being laid of last month.

November 8: Residents in Saqez protested in the city’s main square at the execution of Kurdish political prisoners, before they were attacked and dispersed by security forces.

November 8: Supports of the Tabriz Tracktor-Sazi football club raised a big banner in protest at the drying out of of Orumiyeh Lake during a match with Tehran’s Esteghlal at the Azadai Stadium. Several were arrested during violent clashes with security forces.

November 7: People in Isfahan protested to local officials at their failure to repair a burst water pipe.
