Reports from Iran, obtained by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), indicate protests by all walks of life continue across Iran. These protests are due to the regime’s wrong economic policies and systematic corruption which have destroyed the country’s economy, adding more pressure on the Iranian people.

Economic grievances triggered the major Iran protests in November 2019, which rattled the regime’s foundations. Thus, the ongoing protests and people’s increasing hatred of the regime have terrified the officials.

State media, which call people’s rising hatred of the regime “mistrust,” have been warning officials of another uprising. In this regard, the Aftab-e Yazd daily on Monday, in an article titled as “Trust crisis in the society,” wrote: “The society is suffering from a crisis of trust these days. This means people have completely lost their trust in [regime] officials. Thus, no matter what this government does, it will not be able to regain this lost trust. People have no confidence in what the officials have said or promised. This mistrust causes the worst economic damage to society and will create political, cultural, psychological crises.”
A glance at the following reports of the protests as reported by the MEK during the last week confirms the mullahs’ concern of the Iranian restive society.

On Tuesday, September 29, workers of the Mahabad sugar factory, in Kurdistan province, western Iran, went on strike. These workers are protesting the non-payment of wages and the dismissal of several of their colleagues.

The industrial farm that is planned to be built in this area will hold up to 10,000 cows, which will be a great economic and environmental disaster. The people of Nivan Nar village with 350 families and a population of about 1500 people and other neighboring villages are engaged in agriculture and dairy and their livelihood is tied to these two. Thus, the construction of this industrial farm could destroy the economy and result mass migration of villagers.
