NCRI – On Monday October 1, over 2,000 workers of the Haft Tappeh sugar cane refinery staged a rally and chanted slogans against leaders of the mullahs’ regime in the city of Shoush in the southern province of Khouzestan.
On their way to governor office in Shoush, the workers carried banners and shouted “we are workers of Haft Tappeh, we are hungry, we are hungry”, “we do not want incompetent governor” and “honorable livelihood is our inalienable right”.
The workers of Haft Tappeh sugar cane factory have been on strike since Saturday September 29. They had demanded their unpaid salaries, health insurance and change of factory management.
According to striking workers of Haft Tappeh, the Iranian regime is using foreign nationals of the mullahs’ security forces to brake up their strike.
The foreign national members of the Iranian regime’s security forces from Iraq, Afghanistan and members of the Lebanese Hezbollah are stationed in the Haft Tappeh police station, the workers said.
