NCRI - On Tuesday, 22 August 2017, hundreds of Iranian retirees from across the country gathered outside the Iranian regime's parliament protesting difficult living conditions.
NCRI - The state-run ILNA News on August 12, 2017, reported that a group of metalworkers of a cooperative company staged protest against the hindrance of delivery for apartments of which their contracts were singed a long time ago.
According to the workers, Hasa-1 was the contractor who was responsible for assigning 42 residential units to these workers in the 6th phase of Parand City. This contractor has broken the promise and not delivered the apartments yet.
NCRI - The nurses’ nationwide protests were held on Sunday, August 6, 2017, in accordance with previous calls in front of the Ministry of Health and Universities of Medical Sciences in Tehran and other cities across Iran.
Nurses launched the rally to protest against a plan called “Training Hospital Nurses.”
NCRI - The workers' union of the Haft Tape Sugar Cane Company announced in a statement on August 4, 2017 that 40 workers from the company were summoned to court by the Judiciary of the city of Shush (south-west Iran). The workers’ union said that these 40 workers are told to attend the court on Sunday, August 6.
According to reports, a number of other workers are also summoned to the security forces for interrogation.
NCRI - Tehran's Teachers' Association in a statement strongly condemned the unjust verdicts imposed by the Judiciary for some Iranian teachers.
The statement reads:
"The pressure on independent activists and unions continues. Meanwhile, both political factions of the country are trying to win cultural community's votes in the electoral campaign by giving false promises in the field of education.These promises will be forgotten by the end of the election.
NCRI - Sunday July 23, 2017 thousands of plundered investors, staged protest rally, against investment institutions affiliated with Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) in the streets of Tehran.
NCRI - The memorial ceremony of Asghar Nahvipour, who was killed in Shar-e-Ray metro by the Iranian regime security forces on Saturday July 15, was held at his burial site on the seventh day of his death with more than 500 people in attendance.
The ceremony was held at a time when the regime had earlier threatened the family not to hold the ceremony, and continued the harassment of them by cutting off the right to cry, and tearing off all the posters and banners related to the ceremony.
NCRI - A group of ship manufacturing workers of the Hormoz Bahr Gostar Company staged a picket line on Wednesday protesting delayed wages. This rally was held outside the Persian Gulf Shipyard Complex in the city of Bandar Abbas, southern Iran.
