Iran: The Agonizing Letter of Starving Workers of Sugarcane Industry

NCRI - A group of workers of Haft Tappeh Sugarcane, who are currently on strike, in a letter to regime's officials on Wednesday, July 16, 2017, posed their problems.

The letter entitled "The hunger of Haft Tappeh workers will not be alleviated" reads:

Rouhani's Deputy Attributed the Banks Depositors' Protests to Anti-Revolutionary Media

NCRI - Parliamentary Deputy of the Iranian regime’s president, Hossein Ali Amiri, in a conversation with Fars News Agency, affiliated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps, warned protesting banks depositors, who are the victim of the fraud and raids of thousands of banks and financial institutions of the regime, "Do not make advertising food for the alien media”.

Iran: Telecommunications' Employees on Strike in Several Cities

NCRI - Hundreds of employees of Iran’s Telecommunications Company staged strike and protest gatherings in Lorestan and Khuzestan provinces calling for implementing job classification scheme for telecommunications, direct contracting and job security.

The state-run ILNA news agency reported that the gathering and strikes were held in front of the telecommunications building and also the office of member of the regime’s parliament in Ahwaz while the telecommunications workers in Mashhad had staged a strike since two weeks ago.

The Workers of a Major Sugarcane Company Went on Strike in Western Iran

NCRI - Hundreds of workers went on strike at Haft Tepe Sugarcane Industry while demanding the unpaid receivables. The security guards banned 30 workers from entering the company on Thursday, June 22.

According to the state-run ILNA News, the workers stated that the employer has prohibited 30 workers from entering the company; insinuating that they were leading the protests. It is noteworthy that these 30 workers have 18 to 22 years of job experience. The protests continued until Thursday.

Iran: The Staffs of Telecom Staged an All-Out Strike

NCRI - The workers and employees of Mashhad Telecom – Northeastern Iran, organized a two-day strike on June 22, 2017.

According to the reports, none of the regime's agents responded to the demands of these protesters at Telecom and they are not yet recognized as permanent Forces whereas the workers and employees have worked for this company for more than 20 years.

Iran, Tehran: Brutal beating of depositors of a financial institution by the police forces

NCRI - Iranian regime’s police force brutally suppressed gathered Samen-Hujaj depositors in front of various branches of this financial institution in Tehran on Saturday, June 18, 2017.

According to obtained video clips and reports, people were being beaten up with batons, kicks and punches. After that, the law enforcement officers were intimidating with patrol and inspection of people vehicles in different parts of Tehran.

Iran: Municipal Workers' Protest, Symbolically Showing Their Empty Food Tables

NCRI - Delfan's municipal workers gathered to protest their outstanding unpaid wages up to 10 months, with demonstrating their empty food tables in the city in front of the regime’s governor building on Saturday morning June 17, 2017.

One of Delfan’s municipal workers pointed to their unpaid wages for eight months, and said: "In addition to their salaries and end of year bonuses, which still they have not received, their insurance premium hasn’t been paid about one-year too. He said every worker, who protests this situation, the mayor will declare that he is not needed, and he gets fired”.

Iran: Protest Gathering of Sugarcane Workers in 50 Degrees Heat

NCRI - On Sunday morning June 18, 2017. About 700 Active and retired workers of industry sector of "Haftapeh sugarcane corporation complex” gathered in front of the administrative building of the unit in 50 degrees Celsius heat, demanding their wages and their retirement benefits.

Around 300 retired employees of this unit, who were retired since March 2016, have been unable to collect their pension claims.

Coal Miners Rally for a Second Day in South East Iran

NCRI - 300 coal miners of South Pabdana, Zarand (South East of Iran) held protest rally demanding their unpaid wages on June 13 and 14 June, 2017. According to the state run news agency ILNA, workers of this trade Community are saying, that they have overdue wages, not paid for 6 to 8 months, adding: The main reasons for their protest is lack of employer’s attention of South Pabdana’s mine to their payment demands, as a result, we have gathered yesterday and today to protest with a number of our coworkers within the workplace (at the crossing of Zarand to Kerman highway).
