NCRI – Regarding the slogan of Iranian protesters condemning the regime’s interference in other countries, Ali Akbar Velayati, senior advisor to the regime’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, claimed, those who chant the slogan “neither Gaza nor Lebanon, my life is for Iran” are “ignorant and mercenaries”.

Velayati, Khamenei’s advisor on international affairs, admitted: “The presence of the Islamic Republic in the region is unavoidable and (the regime) will continue to support Lebanon’s Hezbollah and Palestinian groups despite the pressure and threats of the United States.”
“In the Gaza war, Mr. Ramadan also said that the Islamic Republic of Iran gave us everything from bread to ammunition,” the regime official said quoting the secretary-general of the Palestine’s Islamic Jihad movement.

Significant increase in the regime’s financial assistance to Hezbollah:

In its recent report, the International Institute of Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) reported a significant increase in the Iranian regime’s financial and military contributions to Lebanon’s Hezbollah.

According to reports, Tyler Stapleton, a foreign affairs and Middle East expert at FDD, pointed out in a message the Islamic Republic’s all-round support for terrorism and said: Iran provides between $700 million and $800 million annually to the terrorist activities of Lebanese Hezbollah militants.

It was previously announced that the Iranian regime’s aid to Lebanon’s Hezbollah is about $200 million annually.
