That is why we agree with the NCRI that the Iran will remain a threat to its neighbors and to its own people so long as the Supreme Leader claims total authority over the nation’s affairs and violates the sovereignty of other countries.

NCRI - At the prospect of a re-writing of US foreign policy towards Iran following Donald Trump's presidential election victory, the Iran lobby in Washington has got to work reports Independent Journal Review(IJR.)
Trita Parsi, founder of the lobby group, the National Iranian American Council (NIAC), and a "vitriolic" critic of Trump, writing in Foreign Policy, claimed that the US could not unilaterally alter the nuclear deal with Iran which lifted some sanctions on the regime. This is false. He also claimed that unhappiness with the deal could lead to Hassan Rouhani’s defeat in next year’s presidential elections. This is to be welcomed given his human rights record.

NCRI - The Iranian opposition (National Council of Resistance of Iran) has asked the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to expel Iran from that body. The NCRI’s foreign affairs committee chair Mohammad Mohadessin said that he has sent a letter to the FMs of the OIC’s executive committee who had a meeting in Jeddah yesterday, condemning firing a missile to the holy city of Mekka, the ultimate holy place of 1.7 billion Muslims, and stating that the attack has been carried out by the direct order of Khamenei and under the supervision of the Quds Force which once again proves that the ruling regime of Mullahs in Iran is not going to stop its criminal acts, desecration, aggression and sedition against the Arab and Islamic countries.
