Al-Arabiya TV: Maryam Rajavi believes there is no solution other than dismantling current regime in Iran

On Saturday November 26, Al-Arabiya TV published a report regarding a conference held in Paris on Saturday.

The report reads:"the political figures and legal organizations called for the referral of the case to international courts regarding the increasing number of executions in Iran. They also stressed on prosecuting the Iranian authorities who committed killings and mass executions."

At a conference in the House of Commons on Thursday, 17 November, chaired by Rt Revd John Pritchard, former Bishop of Oxford, cross party MPs, Lords and British religious leaders expressed their serious concerns over the alarming rate of executions in Iran, including public hangings and execution of juvenile offender and women. 

Panellists welcomed the adopted resolution on human rights in Iran by the UN General Assembly’s Third Committee on November 15, applauding remarks by Ambassador Martin Shearman, of the UK Mission to the United Nations, that “It remains crucial that we keep a focus on human rights and continue to hold the Iranian Government to account for its human rights record.”

Iran Lobby Swings Into Action for a Weak Regime

NCRI - At the prospect of a re-writing of US foreign policy towards Iran following Donald Trump's presidential election victory, the Iran lobby in Washington has got to work reports Independent Journal Review(IJR.)

Trita Parsi, founder of the lobby group, the National Iranian American Council (NIAC), and a "vitriolic" critic of Trump, writing in Foreign Policy, claimed that the US could not unilaterally alter the nuclear deal with Iran which lifted some sanctions on the regime. This is false. He also claimed that unhappiness with the deal could lead to Hassan Rouhani’s defeat in next year’s presidential elections. This is to be welcomed given his human rights record.

Demonstration in London Seeks Justice for Victims of 1988 Massacre in Iran

On Saturday, 19 November, the Anglo-Iranian community including supporters of the Iranian Resistance, the NCRI and human rights activists will highlight and condemn the alarming rate of executions in Iran at a rally in Trafalgar Square.

The participants will also urge the British government to support the International Campaign for Justice by taking appropriate steps on the international level to bring the perpetrators of the 1988 massacre of political prisoners in Iran to justice.

Opposition Calls for Expulsion of Iran Regime From OIC

NCRI - The Iranian opposition (National Council of Resistance of Iran) has asked the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to expel Iran from that body. The NCRI’s foreign affairs committee chair Mohammad Mohadessin said that he has sent a letter to the FMs of the OIC’s executive committee who had a meeting in Jeddah yesterday, condemning firing a missile to the holy city of Mekka, the ultimate holy place of 1.7 billion Muslims, and stating that the attack has been carried out by the direct order of Khamenei and under the supervision of the Quds Force which once again proves that the ruling regime of Mullahs in Iran is not going to stop its criminal acts, desecration, aggression and sedition against the Arab and Islamic countries.
