EU Joins U.S. in Condemning Iran Regime for Ballistic Missile Activity

At the weekend, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced on Twitter that the Iran had been test-firing ballistic missiles. His message read: “The Iranian regime has just test-fired a medium range ballistic missile that’s capable of carrying multiple warheads. This test violates UNSCR 2231. Iran’s missile testing & missile proliferation is growing. We condemn this act and call upon Iran to cease these activities.”

• 2 Iranian men face new charges over Atlanta cyberattack

ATLANTA (AP) - Two Iranian men face new federal charges in a ransomware attack that caused havoc for the city of Atlanta earlier this year.

Federal prosecutors in Atlanta said the indictment returned Tuesday charges Faramarz Shahi Savandi and Mohammad Mehdi Shah Mansouri with violating the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. The two were already indicted last month in New Jersey in connection with a broad cybercrime and extortion scheme that included the Atlanta cyberattack.

On 6th November this year, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani announced that his country is going to “proudly bypass” the U.S. sanctions that are being implemented. This is typical rhetoric of the Iranian regime and it is almost certainly a way for it to hide the stark reality – the fact that U.S. sanctions are already having an impact and that the situation will only grow more and more difficult for the regime. In a time where domestic discontent is high, it is important for the regime to try and portray an image of strength. Not that the people of Iran can be fooled.

• Iran: 26th day of protests by workers of major sugarcane mill

SHUSH, Southwest Iran. The 26th day of strike by the workers of Haft Tappeh sugarcane mill was held in front of the governorate, the workers were chanting: Imprisoned Worker Must Be Freed.

The regime’s security agents have arrested Mr. Ali Nejati the former head of the workers union on Thursday morning and transferred him to an unknown place while he is suffering heart problem.
