Maryam Rajavi: Our nation has never ceased to rise up and revolt; it will undoubtedly achieve freedom and reclaim the usurped people’s sovereignty
In remarks at a gathering of members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) at Ashraf-3 in Albania, marking the anniversary of the 1979 anti-monarchic revolution in Iran, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), said: That revolution was the continuation of the Constitutional Movement and Dr. Mohammad Mossadeq’s nationalist movement, and was replenished with the blood of the PMOI and other combatants who were executed by the Shah’s secret police, SAVAK, in the 1970s. Unfortunately, the Shah’s suppression of the nationalist and democratic movements paved the way for the usurping of the 1979 revolution by Khomeini and his band of clerics. Western policies helped Khomeini to consolidate his monopolistic rule. But our nation has never ceased to rise up and revolt; it will undoubtedly achieve freedom and reclaim the usurped people’s sovereignty.
Many elections, and all of the sham elections over the past forty years have been marred by vote rigging and multiplying the results. But, the core issue behind such fraudulent and sham elections is to hide the fact that the people's sovereignty has been stolen. #Iran pic.twitter.com/ShgmjeKhd1

THE LATEST NEWS – FEBRUARY 11, 2020
IRAN’S CONTRIBUTION TO GLOBAL GDP
The Iranian regime’s Statistics Center released a report on Iran’s gross domestic product (GDP) for the first six months of this year, showing a drop of 7.6 percent, or about 41 trillion Tomans, over the same period last year.
The report also notes that Iran’s GDP, without oil, did not change in the same period last year compared to the same period last year. In other words, Iran’s non-oil economic growth has been zero.
In the first nine months of this year, the activities of the industry and mines group led to a 2.7% drop and the services group a 5.7% drop. The report considers the main reason for the decline in GDP in the industrial sector is the 37% drop in oil and gas extraction, as well as a 35% decline in the value of mineral production in the country, due to the lack of management
According to the IMF’s assessment of Iran’s GDP last year, it has fallen by 4.9 percent and will grow at zero percent this year.

“Iran’s ballistic programme hurts regional stability and affects European security. France calls on Iran to fully respect its international obligations in this matter.”
