NUMBER OF VICTIMS (AS OF July 7, 2020, 6:00 PM CEST):

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) announced this afternoon, July 7, 2020, that Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than 66,900 in 342 cities across Iran. The death toll in various provinces include: 16900 in Tehran, 5110 in Khuzestan, 4780 in Khorasan Razavi, 2995 in Mazandaran, 2130 in Sistan and Baluchistan, 1905 in West Azerbaijan, 1680 in Golestan, 1405 in Fars, 710 in Hormozgan, 345 in Kohgiluyehn and Boyer Ahmad. This is in addition to reports obtained from other provinces.

Reports and footages from Iran indicate the activities by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) “Resistance Units” is expending daily across Iran. From Wednesday, July 1, to Saturday, July 4, the MEK’s Resistance Units organized activities in Tehran and numerous other cities including: Isfahan, Shiraz, Qom, Ahvaz, GorganAndimeshk, Khorramabad, Nishapur, Amol, Qazvin, Karaj, and Hamadan, calling for regime change and in support of the Iranian Resistance movement.

The Iranian Resistance Units, a network of activists of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) across Iran, have been organizing various activities that are louder calls for regime change. The Resistance Units bravely took to graffiti in public places with the slogans: “Rise up to overthrow the regime of the Supreme Leader,” “Down with Khamenei,” “Democracy and freedom with Maryam Rajavi,” and “A free Iran with Maryam Rajavi.”
They wrote:
Tehran— “July 3 was the yearning of the Iranian people for freedom” / “July 3 is a reminder of big victory over conspiracy and appeasement”

On June 2019, for the first time the “Free Iran 2019 event”, that traditionally was hosted in Paris from 2004 to 2018, was organized in Ashraf 3, and hundreds of international dignitaries from 47 nations came to support Ten-Point Plan of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).

In tandem with the establishment of Ashraf 3, the MEK’s network inside Iran has grown exponentially in the past years. Resistance units and councils find inspiration in the endurance and persistence of MEK members in Ashraf 3.

  • Behesht Zahra Cemetery director: The number of deaths in the last 75 days is unprecedented. The death toll in Tehran is not comparable to the rest of the country.
  • In Tehran, all beds in the Coronavirus wards have been filled. Nurses say there are no more empty beds in Firoozabadi Hospital and patients lay on stretchers and sleep outside on chairs.
  • Shiraz University of Medical Sciences: In the past 24 hours, 1,000 Coronavirus patients have been identified in Fars, and the hospitals are full.
  • In Zanjan, the number of hospitalized patients has increased from 270 to 600 since the beginning of June.
  • In Hamedan, the number of patients has tripled, and if it quadruples, we will lose the ability to control the disease. If the number of patients increases by 10 to 20 percent, we will have no choice but to admit and treat them at hospital corridors.
  • Statement of the Assembly of the Iranian Medical Associations representing 170 Medical Associations: In the face of the possible eruption of the disease, the Medical Community urges officials and directors to use the strategic financial resources to combat the Coronavirus outbreak, even if it means to cut from other benefits.

WHAT ARE THE IRAN PROTESTS OF 2019?

Tuesday, July 7, 2020, marks the 234th day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has identified 755 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.
