Iran: Drinking water rationed in Yazd

NCRI – The water authority in city of Yazd in central Iran have announced rationing of drinking water in the city beginning Sunday.  

The authorities in the city said the measure was implemented after “some protestors went to the pumping station number 4 and set ablaze the pumping and line control systems and destroyed the facilities.”

In recent days farmers in city of Isfahan have been protesting water shortages.  There is a water pipeline taking water from Isfahan to Yazd a city with population of over half a million is located 270 km southeast of Isfahan.
