Iran: Use of some Mobile SIM Cards is considered “Cybercrime”

NCRI – The Iranian regime’s State Security Forces declared that use of a brand of SIM card is considered a “cybercrime” and they have started to collect all of its kind, state-run Fars News Agency reported on Wednesday.

The report quoted Iranian regime’s chief of Cyberpolice (FATA)  in eastern province of  Khorasan Razavi as saying: “The police has started to act against the British made SIM card and we advice everyone to not to sell or use them. “

Because it is widely believed that the SIM cards are easy to use for sending videos and pictures, the mullahs in Iran consider them to be a danger.

During the uprising of 2009 in Iran most of the images and videos taken at that time were sent abroad using mobile phones.

The Cyberpolice chief added: “Even though the SIM cards have a lot of advantages but they also have been a basis for a lot of damages” in the society.
