Arms shipment from regime to Hezbollah intercepted

NCRI – A ship carrying weapons from the Iranian regime for the Lebanese Hezbollah in Gaza has been intercepted by Israel in the Mediterranean, AFP reported on Wednesday.

AFP said among the weapons discovered were tens of thousands of rounds of small-arms ammunition, 230 120-millimetre mortar bombs, more than 2,000 60-millimetre mortar bombs and six of the Chinese-made C704 anti-ship missiles.

The US condemned the Iranian regime’s arms shipment describing it as a provocative move. State Department spokesman Mark Toner said UN resolutions prohibit the regime from exporting arms and related activities, all of which cause regional instability.
