NCRI Staff

NCRI - Iraq is set to get $30 billion to be used for reconstruction plans, but many are questioning why anyone would invest such a substantial sum in a country with deployed militias and rampant corruption.

Abdulrahman al-Rashed, the former General Manager of Al Arabiya News Channel, wrote: “Who would want to invest money in a country her militias are deployed and corruption is rampant? There is sectarianism there and the government is weak.”

How the Iranian Regime Is Waging a Proxy War in the Middle East

NCRI Staff

NCRI - The Iranian Regime has been merging its proxy groups across the Middle East with existing local defence forces in various countries, which become a part of that country’s army.

This is evidenced in an April 2017 memo from the Syrian armed forces, which stated that the defence forces would replace the Iranian proxies eventually. This may lead you to believe that Iran is removing itself from the Syrian conflict, but this is simply untrue.

New Sanctions Against Iran Regime-Proxy Hezbollah

NCRI Staff

NCRI -There can be no doubt that the Lebanese Hezbollah does the bidding of the Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and as such they deserved the latest round of sanctions against them.

The sanctions, passed by the US on Friday, will delay the flow of illicit money to Hezbollah’s war chest and attack its ability to help the IRGC fight for the Syrian dictator Bashar al Assad. This will be the first in a wave of sanctions against Hezbollah.
