NCRI - As the poverty has spread among women, the state-run authorities and media called this phenomenon as a common term of "the feminization of poverty".

Poverty prevails among women; however, the breadwinner women are severely stricken with indigence. This issue stems from the lootings and plunders made by the Iran regime.

NCRI - The Iranian regime's prosecutor in Northwestern Province of Qazvin, warned women employees to comply with the hijab and mandatory veiling by sending a letter to all government agencies and companies threatening the offenders with judicial prosecution.

According to the state-run Damadam website, on August 12, 2017, Sadeghi Niyaraki, prosecutor of Qazvin, said in his letter: “In case a report by the enforcement officials or retentive officers is received and non-compliance with the law is noticed, judicial cases will be pursued to prosecute the offenders.”

NCRI - The Iranian regime's prosecutor in Qom announced the appointment of a women's special patrol to visit women's public places.

According to the judicial authority, "in line with the expansion of the hijab culture, the special patrol of the women of the Qom prosecutor's office, with the management of female judges, will visit women's places, galleries, swimming pools, sports halls, hairdressers and ...".

NCRI - Some members of Women's Parliamentary Fraction have reported that the clerics do not approve the parliament's plan to amend the age of marriage.

The Vice-President of Women's Parliamentary Fraction, Fatemeh Zolghadr, in an interview with ILNA News stated that the religious references (Marja) do not approve the change in the age of marriage.

NCRI - The political prisoner, Atena Daemi, who has been serving time in Evin Prison, was newly framed by the warden and the head of the infirmary as "breaching the peace of prison" with her hunger strike.

On Monday, July 26, the human rights activist, Atena Daemi was transferred to Branch 4 of Evin's court from the women's ward.

NCRI - Girls riding bike around a lake in the city of Marivan (west of Iran) are faced with a ban by plainclothes forces.

According to reports, plainclothes forces of Marivan Intelligence are constantly patrolling around the lake Zaribar and its entrances.

Plainclothes forces do this in order to prevent women and girls from biking around the Zaribar lake.
