EU's Ashton must tell Iraq to release Camp Ashraf Seven, EP vice-president demands

The European Union's Foreign Affairs Commissioner Baroness Ashton must call on Iraq to immediately release the seven Camp Ashraf hostages, the EU parliament's vice president has demanded.

Alejo Vidal-Quadras also described it as 'incredible' that Baroness Ashton has remained silent over the soaring rate of executions in Iran under the regime’s new 'moderate' president Hassan Rouhani.

More Liberty hunger strikers demanding release of Ashraf Seven falling critically ill

Camp Liberty hunger strikers demanding the release of the seven Ashraf hostages are suffering from increasingly critical medical conditions on the 92nd day of their protest.

More are being transferred to the camp's clinic with severe headaches, dizziness, imbalance, hypertension, muscle, joint and chest pains, blurred vision, shortness of breath, narcosis and numbness.

200 Iranian dissident hunger strikers in Iraqi camp put under medical care in a week

Hundreds of members of Iranian opposition the People’s Mujahedeen of Iran (PMOI/MEK) in Camp Liberty, Iraq, are entering their 13th week of hunger strike in protest of the September 1, 2013 attack on Camp New Iraq, formerly Camp Ashraf.

Residents of Camp Liberty have refused food for nearly 90 days and drink only water and tea and consume only sugar and salt packets. Dr. Hassan Jazayeri, a doctor overseeing the hunger strikers is very concerned for their health, “The hunger strikers’ lives are in danger and at any moment they might face sudden death,” he said.

Live Twitter Chat with Iranian Opposition Hunger Strikers in Geneva

The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) hosted a special live Twitter chat on Tuesday with individuals on hunger strike in Geneva, Switzerland demanding the release of the seven Camp Ashraf hostages held by Iraqi forces of Nouri al-Maliki and protection for Camp Liberty residents.

Hunger strike continues as many need urgent treatment at Camp Liberty clinic

NCRI - Camp Liberty hunger strikers are in an increasingly critical physical condition with many nearing death as their protest enters its 13th week.

One hunger striker suffered severe shortness of breath and weakness before fainting on Monday and was urgently transferred to the camp’s clinic. He has so far lost 22 per cent of his weight and is suffering from blurred vision, severe headaches and pain in the muscles and joints.

A dozen Iranian dissidents on 85th day of hunger strike transferred to Camp Liberty clinic

NCRI - A dozen of Iranian dissidents who are on hunger strike in Camp Liberty were transferred to the camp's clinic as they entered their 85th day of their hanger strike calling for the release of seven Camp Ashraf residents taken hostage by Iraqi forces on September 1.

Five woman and 6 men were transferred to the Iraqi clinic at the camp due to symptoms caused by the long-term hunger strike. One hunger striker fainted and was immediately transferred to the clinic.
