Human rights situation in Iran must be referred to the UN Security Council
The UN General Assembly Third Committee passed a resolution in its session today condemning the brutal and continued violations of human rights in Iran. The majority of UN member states voted in favor of the resolution. The resolution strongly condemns the continuing use of torture and cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment, continued carrying out of public executions, and, on a large scale, other executions, and, in particular, deplores the execution of persons who were below 18 years of age at the time their offence was committed, and also continued violations of freedom of assembly, opinion and expression, violations of the rights of women and religious and ethnic minorities.
Khamenei, the clerical regime’s leader, at a gathering of Friday prayer leaders from across the country on Monday, expressed his full support for the regime’s president Ahmadinejad and said: “The government must be supported. In all honesty, the present government, in particular the president, is referred to and judged very unjustly in some comments. The indiscretions that occur cannot at all be the outcome of this government’s work.” Khamenei called the criticism and reviews in some newspapers about the present government unjust and said that any action or words that inflame the antagonisms of the election period should be seriously avoided.

NCRI, November 16 - The discovery of a secret prison in Jadariya, Iraq, that was controlled and run by agents of the mullahs’ regime in the Iraqi Interior Ministry has shocked the world. According to press reports, more than 170 tortured prisoners suffering from acute malnutrition were interned in the prison. Some of the detainees were paralyzed from excessive torture and others had their flesh peeled off. A number of prisoners are in critical condition. These individuals were held illegally and without any evidence against them.
News agencies reported that the clerical regime in Iran has informed the International Atomic Energy Agency of its intention to convert 50 tons of uranium ore to uranium hexafluoride on November 26. The Iranian regime had previously converted another 37 tons of ore to the feedstock gas. This amount will enable the mullahs’ regime to make enough highly enriched uranium to develop 10 atomic bombs.
Based on the information of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran, the clerical regime has in the past two years and during negotiations with the EU3, secretly constructed and assembled 5,000 centrifuges.
