Rhodes, a senior aide who joined in the meeting, said that \u201cthis broad coalition against Qaddafi sends a very strong message to Iran about our capabilities, militarily and diplomatically.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The New York Times added that despite the long-term importance of Libya for the U.S., \u201cLibya is a sideshow.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Containing Iran\u2019s power remains the central goal in the Middle East for the Obama\u2019s team.
