\u201cIran is getting some of the blame for the deaths of more than two dozen Iranian exiles at a military camp in Iraq,\u201d the TV said.<\/p>\n
Fox News National security correspondent Jennifer Griffin filed a report from the Pentagon, and said, \u201cIraqi forces circled a camp and began firing on 3,400 members of an Iranian dissident group, the same day members of the same group held a press conference in Washington, exposing what they said was a new centrifuge facility in Tehran. In this video provided by residents of the camp, unarmed men and women are seen apparently being shot in cold blood.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alireza Jafarzadeh was quoted as saying, \u201cThis is a pure crime committed intentionally by the Iraqi government against Iranian dissidents to do the bidding for Tehran.\u201d<\/p>\n

Men and women who belonged to the Mujahideen-e-Khalq or MEK, a group placed on the U.S. State Department terrorist list in 1997 at Iran’s request. The U.N. investigator now confirms 34 people were killed at Camp Ashraf,\u201d the report said.<\/p>\n
U.S. Defence Secretary Robert Gates was quoted as saying, \u201cWe’re very concerned with reports of deaths and injuries resulting from this morning’s clash between Iraqi security forces and the Mujahideen-e-Khalq.\u201d<\/p>\n
The report added, \u201cThe State Department condemned the killings and asked Iraqi authorities to investigate.\u201d
\u201cThe U.S. military still has 47,000 troops in Iraq but cannot intervene because it has handed over control to Iraqi forces.\u201d<\/p>\n
General Wesley Clark, former NATO Commander in Europe, was quoted as saying, \u201cWe find it absolutely deplorable and inexplicable. We did make a promise they would be protected persons.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cSome former U.S. government officials say it’s time to take [the MEK] off the State Department terrorist list,\u201d the report added.<\/p>\n
