Additionally, PMOI members not only have not violated, in any way, the Iraqi laws or the Iraqi sovereignty, but have also been harshly blockaded since 2003. Thus far, they have been attacked several times and have suffered great losses. Moreover, dozens of them have been killed or wounded by the Iraqi government forces. Instead of protecting them, the Iraqi government has attacked them with armored vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We in the Society of Iraqi Kurdistan\u2019s Intellectuals ask the UN representative office in Iraq and the U.S. government, as well as the European Union and all responsible currents to rise up to their humane and ethical responsibilities and pressure the Iraqi government to stop suppressing Camp Ashraf residents and respect their basic human rights.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NCRI &ndash; We believe the People&rsquo;s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK) is not a threat to Iraq&rsquo;s security whatsoever.
