Rafsanjani who was talking at a gathering of mullahs\u2019 seminary in the city of Qom, expressed concerns about the consequences of continued suppression and what he called \u201cclosed space\u2019 and said: \u201cIf we cannot attain the satisfaction of the majority of the people, the history has shown that we will not succeed and we will not have a bright future,\u201d government-run ILNA news agency reported on July 2.<\/p>\n
Rafsanjani who was forced out as the head of the regime\u2019s Council of Experts, clearly characterized suppression of the youth under the guise of societal security as ineffective and useless; pointing out people\u2019s anger and hatred, he said: \u201cIncreased pressure is less effective and in each plan that is carried out, the realities of the society must be considered and actions that are fantasized should be avoided, \u201c ILNA reported.<\/p>\n
Jahan News, which is affiliated with Khamenei\u2019s band, attacked Rafsanjani for this warning and wrote: \u201cIn fact, the most important fantasies in the words and actions of Mr. Rafsanjani are their characters of having multiple meanings, that Ayatollah Yazdi pointed out.
