They are protected persons under Fourth Geneva Convention, but Iraqi forces under command of Maliki , Iraqi prime minster, have attacked and murdered the camp residents several times.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"tahason-geneve-119-6\" class=\" size-full wp-image-38015\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2011\/08\/tahason-geneve-119-6.jpg\" border=\"0\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/tahason-geneve-119-6.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/tahason-geneve-119-6-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The last attack by Maliki-led forces on camp Ashraf on April 8th 2001, has left 36 civilian death and several hundred wounded.<\/p>\n<p>This massacre raised a wave of international condemnation, including condemnation by Ms. Navi Pilay, the U.N. high commissioner for human rights.<\/p>\n<p>Since January 2009, Maliki&#8217;s forces have enforced medical blockade and siege of camp Ashraf which so far has resulted in several death.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"tahason-geneve-119-2\" class=\" size-full wp-image-38016\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2011\/08\/tahason-geneve-119-2.jpg\" border=\"0\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/tahason-geneve-119-2.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/tahason-geneve-119-2-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After hearing the news that another Ashraf resident, Mohsen Ansari, lost his life due to inhumane siege of Ashraf and medical restrictions, the protestors paid tribute to him and pledged to continue their struggle until the UN provide protection for Ashraf residents and re-confirm their refugee status and rights.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"tahason-geneve-119-8\" class=\" size-full wp-image-38017\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2011\/08\/tahason-geneve-119-8.jpg\" border=\"0\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/tahason-geneve-119-8.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/tahason-geneve-119-8-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Geneva &ndash; In a warm weather, Iranian exiles continue their sit-in protest across the United Nations headquarters.
