NCRI – Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance described the demagogic theatrics of the Iranian regime in gathering a number of its proxies and hirelings under the \u201cInternational Session in Support of the Palestinian Intifada\u201d, and the remarks of the regime\u2019s Supreme Leader as vain efforts to hinder President Mahmoud Abbas\u2019s plan to form an independent Palestinian statehood.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe formation of such a state is an effective blow to the influence of Islamic fundamentalism and the terrorism arising from it, and a giant step towards dislodging the religious fascism ruling Iran from regional countries\u201d, said Mrs. Rajavi.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe vengeful attack of Khamenei at the Palestinian Liberation Organization \u2013 which is the legitimate representative of the Palestinian people \u2013 illustrates the deep-seated enmity of this regime with the Palestinian ideal, which today has resulted in hostility towards an independent Palestinian statehood, an issue that is approved by most countries in the world, and independent poles show that almost all of the Palestinian people, even in the Gaza strip, support\u201d, Maryam Rajavi emphasized.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Liberation Organization\u2019s rift delivered a blow to the Palestine issue and continues to do so today,\u201d Khamenei said in his speech. \u201cThey, like a number of traitorous Arabic governments, have turned their backs to the ideal of resistance which was and is Palestine\u2019s only savior.\u201d He rejected the arbitration of the \u201cUN and other international organizations\u201d under the pretext of being \u201cfellow perpetrators of the arrogant governments\u201d. In a flagrant terrorist and bellicosity threat, Khamenei said \u201cIran\u2019s missiles and resistance groups will rise to their duties whenever a threat is felt from the enemy.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mrs. Rajavi reiterated that Khamenei\u2019s remarks reveal this regime\u2019s utter fear from the prospect of peace and democracy, and the fact that regional popular uprisings have seriously cornered his regime.<\/p>\n
