The residents of Camp Ashraf and Camp Liberty are the guests of the Iraqi people and government and must be treated according to the Geneva conventions,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo protect its international creditability, the Iraqi government must have followed the international law in dealing with these refugees but the Iraqi government is only interested in serving the interests of a neighboring country, whatever the costs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Al-Hashemi said: \u201cthe crimes committed against the camp residents will not be subject to time and the perpetuators of the crimes, regardless of their governmental position, will be brought to justice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u201cI am sure that they will spend the remainder of their lives behind prison walls and will not be able to run away from justice. The criminal investigation has been delayed for a while due to political considerations.
