This has been the correct decision, albeit long overdue, in order to remove a major obstacle in the path of the Iranian people&#8217;s efforts for democracy. For more than a decade, mullahs made every effort to prevent removal of this designation. They do not conceal their anger and disappointment and are trying hysterically to counter Secretary Clinton\u2019s decision with their lobby groups in the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the days and months ahead, we hope to better introduce ourselves and our goals to international community and the American people. The people of America and the US Government will realize that, contrary to the campaign of demonization and misinformation orchestrated by the religious fascism ruling Iran, our movement is far removed from all the allegations and accusations churned out by the current Iranian regime, is merely striving for freedom and democracy in Iran, and is campaigning against fundamentalism and export of terrorism.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We propose a non-nuclear Iran, peace, security, democracy, human rights, stability, construction, friendship, and economic development in this region of the world as well as respect for international laws and conventions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are seeking change in Iran by the Iranian people and their just resistance. We want the sovereignty of the people and a free election.\u00a0 At the same time, we call on the international community to definitively abandon the policy of appeasement vis-\u00e0-vis the religious dictatorship ruling Iran and to support the Iranian people&#8217;s right to freedom and resistance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Rajavi added: \u201cFor now, concern of Iranians continues to be respect for the fundamental rights, security and improvement of living conditions for some 3300 of their friends and relatives in Iraq. We appeal to Secretary Clinton, other member states of the United Nations and the Security Council to compel the Iraqi Government to observe the residents\u2019 legal refugee rights, including the right to ownership of their property so that they could be resettled in third countries without intimidation, obstruction and undue hardship.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Rajavi expressed her profound appreciation to the distinguished American and European politicians and lawmakers, as well as PMOI (MEK) lawyers, who paid a heavy price in standing with Iranian people and the Resistance in the
