NCRI – A summit of Arab leaders of members of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) warned Iranian regime to end interference in the affairs of Arab countries.\u00a0 A communiqu\u00e9 issued at the end of a two-day summit of the six-member GCC said: “The council expressed its rejection and condemnation of the continuing Iranian interference in the affairs of the Gulf Cooperation Council’s states and called on Iran to stop these policies.”<\/p>\n
Speaking at a press conference at the closing of the 33rd GCC Summit Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa said: \u201c”Every time we are at the defending end, especially with Iranian threats taking different shapes, every time we open a door to extend our friendship.<\/p>\n
” Iranian threats taking different shapes\u2026We have told the Iranians that escalation is not the solution and would lead no-one anywhere, but they are not listening, as they continue to interfere and meddle with Gulf states’ affairs,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Bahraini Foreign Minister Khalid Bin Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al Khalifa told reporters Iranian regime posed a “very serious threat”.<\/p>\n
“Politically, (there is) lots of meddling in the affairs of GCC states; an environmental threat to our region from the technology used inside nuclear facilities; and there is of course the looming nuclear program,” he said, referring to Iranian regime nuclear program.<\/p>\n
In a call published in the Asharq Al-Awsat daily, Bahrain Foreign Minister Sheikh Khaeld bin Ahmad al-Khalifah stressed the necessity to hold a \u201cFriends of the Innocent People of Iran Conference\u201d. In continuation of this call, the Bahrain Deputy Foreign Minister, Ambassador Ahmed Hamd Al-Amer, said \u201cIt is time to pay attention to the situation of the Iranian people who suffer from the suppression of freedoms, discrimination and inequality of the establishment\u201d. By pointing out the clerical regime\u2019s interventions in regional countries, he added \u201cThe goal of the regime is to put a cap on the catastrophic situation in Iran and the terrible and retrograding economic conditions from which the Iranian people suffer\u201d.<\/p>\n
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, welcomed Bahrain Foreign Minister\u2019s proposal for a \u201cFriends of Iran\u201d conference, emphasizing while the religious fascism ruling Iran is pursuing a ruthless battle against the Iranian people and an aggressive war against the countries and nations of the region such as Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Bahrain, Yemen and \u2026, such a conference is necessary to confront this regime, and in line with peace, friendship and brotherhood in the region. A regime that stands alongside the Syrian dictator with full force commanding, guiding and providing financial and arms support for the Syrian people\u2019s massacre, and continues its efforts to obtain nuclear weapons, has endangered peace and tranquility in the region, especially in neighboring countries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
