NCRI – In the afternoon on Wednesday, April 10, a special agent of\u00a0Martin Kobler, in a provocative measure paid an untimely visit (at 2:25 pm) to the sleeping room of a paraplegic patient in Camp Liberty and insisted on speaking with him, which lead to a nervous shock for the patient.<\/p>\n
Responding to the protest by patients nurse for disturbing the patient in his resting time, the agent, Massoud Durrani angrily answered: \u201cI have no business with you and get out.\u201d<\/p>\n
Afterwards the patient painstakingly got out of his bed and protested the insulting approach of Martin Kobler\u2019s agents, which is in violation of the most basic humane and professional standards.<\/p>\n
The patient said he is not willing to speak with Massoud Durrani, but despite his illness, he is willing to talk to another lady from the United Nations who was present at the scene.<\/p>\n
Such an approach, which is not even acceptable for prison authorities in a democratic society, is considered psychological torture against the residents, especially against patients.<\/p>\n
The patient wrote a letter to the United Nations High Commission for Refugees, the UNAMI Human Rights Office and the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran , describing the events that took place and added Martin Kobler was the cause of his transfer to Camp Liberty Prison along with many other patients, and now his agents suddenly enters their private area and has such inhumane conduct.<\/p>\n
This same individual on April 9 insulted another resident in Section 2 of the camp. UNAMI’s Human Rights Office was informed of the issue in a letter. Prior to this, time and again the residents had reported and protested the provocative and insulting behavior of this individual to the UN.<\/p>\n
On March 14, 2013, Massoud Durrani, in response to the residents\u2019 protest to why UNAMI had not taken any measure to transfer Hamid Rabi, the 8th victim of the missile attack, to Germany, sarcastically said \u201cIt\u2019s okay, he will go to heaven\u201d.<\/p>\n
The residents\u2019 representative subsequently wrote to the UN Secretary General that \u201cThe residents of Liberty \u2026 in order to prevent any kind of intentional provocation, they will no longer talk to this person\u201d.<\/p>\n
A Vice-president of European Parliament, in a letter to the Secretary General on January 27, 2013, strongly objected that Massoud Durrani \u201chas become a messenger for the mullahs\u2019 intelligence agents\u201d and wrote \u201cI urge you to \u2026 prevent these unacceptable actions from taking place under the name of the United Nations. These actions put the lives of 3200 Iranian refugees in Iraq and their families in danger\u201d.<\/p>\n
The Iranian Resistance, warns about Massoud Durrani\u2019s provocative measures as he is seeking to cause scuffles in the camp and calls on the UN Secretary-General, his Political Deputy and relevant officials in the UN to transfer the individual from Camp Liberty and not allow him to pave the way for another bloodbath by insulting, provoking and psychologically torturing the camp\u2019s patients.<\/p>\n
