NCRI – Political prisoner Asghar Mahmoudian has gone on hunger strike in Iran’s Semnan prison in protest at being denied medical treatment.<\/p>\n
Mr Mahmoudian was arrested along with his wife on February 14, 2010, and sentenced to six years imprisonment and his wife to five years.\u00a0He was also a political prisoner in the 1980s and spent 10 years in prison. One of his family members has also been executed by the regime.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, family and friends of Sohrab Aarabi, who was killed during the 2009 uprising, gathered at his cemetery to commemorate the anniversary of his death, paying tributes and laying flowers.<\/p>\n
They will gather again on July 13 to commemorate the fourth anniversary of his funeral.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
