{"id":14733,"date":"2013-09-27T08:19:51","date_gmt":"2013-09-27T07:19:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/statements\/nuclear\/14733-rouhani-s-un-speech-the-gulf-between-words-and-deeds"},"modified":"2023-01-14T13:59:00","modified_gmt":"2023-01-14T12:59:00","slug":"rouhani-s-un-speech-the-gulf-between-words-and-deeds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/nuclear\/rouhani-s-un-speech-the-gulf-between-words-and-deeds\/","title":{"rendered":"Rouhani&#8217;s UN speech: The gulf between words and deeds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Nuclear300\" class=\" alignleft size-full wp-image-40656\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2013\/09\/Nuclear300.jpg\" border=\"0\" width=\"302\" height=\"215\" style=\"float: left;margin: 5px\" \/>New York \u2013 Hassn Rouhani, the president of the clerical regime in Iran, who was also one of the decision makers for the September1 massacre of Iranian dissidents in Camp Ashraf, on Tuesday, September 24th, proposed in the United Nations General Assembly for \u201cthe global plan against violence and extremism to be placed in the UN\u2019s agenda.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In his speech at the 68th annual UN General Assembly, Rouhani expressed the main policies of the mullahs\u2019 regime with moderate phrases:<br \/>&#8211; \u201cIslamic Republic of Iran is a regional power.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; \u201cAccepting Iran\u2019s natural, legal and sovereign right, as ordered by the wise leader of the Islamic revolution, is the simplest solution for the nuclear dossier.\u201d<br \/>&#8211; The only path to prove the peaceful nature of the Iranian regime\u2019s nuclear program is to \u201caccept the right to enrichment and other nuclear rights on Iran\u2019s soil\u201d.<br \/>&#8211; \u201cNuclear technology, including enrichment, has reached a mass production stage. The thought that by preventing Iran\u2019s nuclear program through enforcing illegal pressure can guarantee its peaceful nature is factitious and completely unrealistic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The mullahs\u2019 regime \u201chas always been a harbinger of just peace and all-out security.\u201d<br \/>Following this speech, the Chairman of the US House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee issued a statement and said:<br \/>\u201cWe don\u2019t need words from Rouhani; we need real action from Tehran.
