Tuesday October 8: Laid-off workers at the Khavar chemical metallic company in the city of Pakdasht protested outside regime\u2019s labor bureau and demanded to return to work.<\/p>\n
October 4-6: Fire fighters in the city of Andimeshk went on strike in protest at the regime’s failure to properly manage the fire service.<\/p>\n
Tuesday, October 8: More than 60 workers at the Ardel household items company protested outside the firm’s main office in Tehran in anger at three months of unpaid salaries.<\/p>\n
A labor activist said ten months-worth of the workers insurance had also not been registered, meaning they were unable to access their retirement benefits.<\/p>\n
The activist added that bosses also planned to close the factory due to mounting debts, saying: “Around 15 workers at this company are using their own vehicles for the company services. However, they haven\u2019t received any pension payments for over nine months which is equivalent to 30 million Tomans.<\/p>\n
Sunday, October 6: More than 150 part-time teachers in the province of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari gathered outside the education ministry in the city of Shahrekord and protested at their uncertain working conditions.<\/p>\n
The teachers’ spend up to five years before being appointed official teachers, and are forced to work in remote parts of the province on an income of only 300,000 Tomans, according to a representative.<\/p>\n
Saturday, October 5: Parents of school children who were due to be taken on a field trip blocked buses leaving the Beheshti high school in the city of Shahrekord after it emerged that the youngsters were being taken to a war zone. Armed security forces threatened to arrest the parents before the trip was finally called off.<\/p>\n
Wednesday, October 2: A group of athletes and residents of Ziba City staged a protest at the regime’s failure to re-open an athletic center.<\/p>\n
