\"Image\"Iran – election – statement no. 1<\/p>\n

Based on reports received until 11:00 am (local time) from hundreds of polling stations in Tehran and other cities, voting stations were deserted. In some areas, not even one person had gone to vote. Reports in Tehran from Mehrabad, Qazvin, Tehran-no and Zeinabieh streets, Shemiran (Chizar), Nazi-abad, Sadeqieh’s second square, Gendarmerie township, Marzdaran blvd. and Tehran-Pars region indicated that the number of voters was no more than five.
In all regions of Tehran-Pars polling stations were deserted and only State Security Forces were present. In Malek-Ashtar and Zakaria schools in Nazi-Abad, no one turned out to vote.
Reports from Paveh, Babol, Qazvin, Zanjan, Hamedan, Khorramabad, Isfahan, Tabriz, Kermanshah and Mashad make it clear that the Iranian people have boycotted the mullahs’ sham election.
In Tehran, several polling stations have been filled with the regime’s agents to prepare them for guided tours by foreign journalists.
