NCRI – In Tehran, demonstrators gathered outside the Irancell Company on November 3 in protest at the cancellation of their SIM cards, after said that if a user does not use their SIM more than 90 days, they will be annulled and handed to other users.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Also in Tehran, police and security forces mobilised on the streets in the Arya Shahr district on November 2 to stop and fine motorcyclists, throwing many off their bikes. Others defied the police and sped off.<\/p>\n
In the city of Sirak, Hormozgan Province, people also clashed with intelligence and security agents following the murder of three villagers shot dead by security forces. State forces responded by firing shots in the air in a bid to intimidate the demonstrators.<\/p>\n
On November 1, intelligent forces raided streets and shopping centers in Tehran, insulting and humiliating several youths on the pretext of improper veiling. The forces also severely beat two young girls before handcuffing and arresting them.<\/p>\n
Onlookers began chanting at the forces demanding they release the girls, who were later freed by agents fearing they would be attacked.<\/p>\n
On October 28, security forces also raided black market vendors in the city of Karaj, but were forced back when the tradesmen resisted.<\/p>\n
