Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker, ranking Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, emerged from Tuesday\u2019s meeting with President Obama saying some lawmakers are \u201cunsatisfied\u201d with the administration\u2019s proposal to begin easing sanctions on Iranian regime in exchange for halting parts of its nuclear program, The Washington Times reported.<\/p>\n
Senator Corker said: \u201cI think you probably had some folks in the room who very satisfied. I think you had some folks in the room who were very unsatisfied and then I think you had some folks who were listening to what has been said and trying to figure out the best way for Congress to move ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr. Corker told reporters after the meeting, which lasted more than 90 minutes: \u201cI don\u2019t think anybody knows as to whether the sides will be able to agree to something this week.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr. Corker and the Senate leadership of both parties \u2014 along with the chairmen and ranking members of the chamber\u2019s Banking, Foreign Relations, Armed Services and Intelligence committees \u2014 sat down with the U.S. president on nuclear talks with the Iranian regime.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
