“Without the consent of Maliki, this shameful and deadly attack on Camp Ashraf which was under the responsibility of the international community, would never have happened. Maliki, supposedly the Prime Minister in Baghdad, you are responsible for the attack on Ashraf and you must realize that!,” Mr Kouchner said.<\/p>\n
He was speaking at an international conference in Rome on December 19 , in the presence Mrs Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, and European and American dignitaries, during which the participants expressed their support for the call for an international campaign to free 7 Camp Ashraf hostages taken by Maliki forces, ensure the safety of Iranian dissidents in Camp Liberty [Iraq] and act against arbitrary executions in Iran.<\/p>\n
“People who are familiar with protection of Camp Ashraf, will tell you that without the help of precise it was not possible for the Iranian Revolutionary Guards to attack camp Ashraf that was manned by Iraqi soldiers. It was not only an accomplice on the part of that man, the Prime Minister of Iraq, but it was an act of murder.<\/p>\n
“We must remember the seven missing people. Where are they ? Are they still in Iraq? Or on the contrary they have been transported, delivered, given away, sold to Iran? That is a matter of international law and we are all witnesses, but the actors too,” Mr Kochner said.<\/p>\n
Mr Koushner urged those involved in the campaign to free the 7 hostages to ” increase pressure on all organizations at our disposal, all NGOs, all foundations, UN agencies , particularly UNHCR , because after all they were under UNHCR’s responsibility.”<\/p>\n
Mr Kouchner said: “I think it was a bad calculation on the part of our American friends to let this man lead Iraq… I think it was a very big mistake, the appointment of Mr. Maliki was a tragic mistake. Outside his obedience to the instructions by Iranians, what does he represent? the Iraqi people?… Is this man is worthy to run a country like that? No and no and no! We need to be aware of it.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
