{"id":15688,"date":"2014-01-06T22:17:50","date_gmt":"2014-01-06T22:17:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/multimedia\/ashraf-liberty\/15688-iraq-intensifies-restriction-on-iranian-dissidents-free-access-to-medical-care"},"modified":"2014-01-06T22:17:50","modified_gmt":"2014-01-06T22:17:50","slug":"iraq-intensifies-restriction-on-iranian-dissidents-free-access-to-medical-care","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/ashraf-liberty\/iraq-intensifies-restriction-on-iranian-dissidents-free-access-to-medical-care\/","title":{"rendered":"Iraq intensifies restriction on Iranian dissidents free access to medical care"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Iraqi forces affiliated to the Iraqi Intelligence and Prime Ministry have intensified restrictions on free access to medical care for a number of Camp Liberty residents particularly those suffering from incurable illnesses such as cancer.<\/p>\n<p>Iraqi Major Ahmed Khozeir, stationed in Camp Liberty prevented nurses and interpreters of four residents on Sunday from accompanying\u00a0the patients to Baghdad in their visits with specialized physicians.<\/p>\n<p>Due to long delays caused by Ahmed Khozeir, the patients were not able to hold their medical appointment which had been scheduled from long time ago.<\/p>\n<p>This has become a daily practice for the Iraqi forces to prevent some or all patients or their interpreters from leaving the camp to go to Baghdad medical centers.<\/p>\n<p>Iraqi Major Ahmad Khozeir who has been directly involved in the April 8, 2012 and the September 1, 2013 massacre and abductions of members of the People&#8217;s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK) in Camp Ashraf, is having the major role in imposing the inhuman medical siege against the residents.<\/p>\n<p>So far, at least 16 residents of Camp Ashraf and Camp Liberty have lost their lives due to lack access to free medical treatment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Iraqi forces affiliated to the Iraqi Intelligence and Prime Ministry have intensified restrictions on free access to medical care for a number of Camp Liberty residents particularly those suffering [&#8230;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[14],"tags":[175],"class_list":{"0":"post-15688","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","6":"category-ashraf-liberty","7":"tag-updated"},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
