Students across Iran have continued to defy the security forces until their demands are met despite ongoing arrests and expulsions by regime officials.<\/p>\n

On December 30, computer science students at Mohajer Technical University in Isfahan staged a protest at sub-standards teaching methods and poor study resources ahead of their examinations.<\/p>\n

Students at Tehran University continued with protests staged on December 3 and 7 against their dean, with professors also demanding his resignation for suppressive measures in force at the university.<\/p>\n

Tehran University\u2019s Business administration college also saw more protests on January 1 at the poor quality of food and lack of basic facilities that have not been improved despite ongoing complaints.<\/p>\n

At Arak Azad University, students forced a change in the the head of the Agriculture and Natural Sources Department on January 2.<\/p>\n

Students at the Polytechnic University also continued with their protests beyond the end of term at their dean.<\/p>\n

Officials at the University of Najaf Abad in Isfahan summoned and arrested a student on December 28 for mocking Supreme leader Ali Khomeini, while at Semnan University a female student was expelled for being a follower of the Baha\u2019i religion.<\/p>\n

A student activist at Yazd University was also sentenced to one year in prison, while at the University of Arts in Tehran, protesting students were also summoned to the disciplinary committee on December 29.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
