The U.S. State Department of State has refused to grant permission to the Iranian regime’s UN envoy to travel to Philadelphia to participate in an event by failing to respond to the request.<\/p>\n
Mohammad Khazaee, representative of the Iranian regime to the United Nations who is based in New York is required by regulations to seek permission to travel from New York to beyond a 25-mile radius from New York City.<\/p>\n
The organizers of the event which was scheduled to be held in Philadelphia on February 5 first reached out to the State Department on Dec. 3 and by Jan. 21.<\/p>\n
The State Department had confirmed that Iranian regime had submitted all the necessary paperwork but, according to the organizers, the communication ended there and quietly denied permission by failing to respond to the travel request.<\/p>\n
The travel regulations are usually enforced to monitor the activities of foreign officials who are not U.S.-credentialed diplomats. Such officials needs permission to travel beyond a 25-mile radius from New York City.<\/p>\n
The State Department issued a brief statement Friday night that read in part: “As a matter of policy, we do not discuss the details of these restrictions or requests for waivers.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
